Blue Ark is a reggae and dub station in GTA 5 and GTA Online hosted by the Jamaican producer Lee 'Scratch' Perry. It plays roots reggae, dancehall and dub versions rather than mainstream pop reggae. It suits a slow cruise along the coast or a wind-down drive after a heist. Perry was one of the people who invented dub in the studio in the 1970s, stripping songs down to bass, drums and echo and building something new out of the pieces. That same idea runs through the station: tracks feel spacious, hypnotic and a little disorienting, with vocals that drift in and out rather than sitting up front. It is slower and heavier than the other Jamaican-leaning sounds on the dial, and it never rushes. Perry died in 2021, and the station stands as one of the ways his catalog and influence reach players who might never otherwise hear him. No specific update is confirmed for when it joined the dial, so it is best treated as one of the game's established stations rather than a recent addition. Try it late at night when the faster stations feel like too much.
