Is GTA Online Down?

The banner at the top of this page is our best combined read: Rockstar's own service-status feed (which lists Grand Theft Auto Online separately, per platform) plus the live Steam player count. When Rockstar reports Down or Limited, that is the official word. A sharp drop in the player count is an early warning that often beats the official page.

Rockstar's feed and the player count both track widespread outages. If both look healthy, the problem is usually local: your connection, NAT type, platform network (PSN or Xbox Live), or a session issue. Restarting the game and checking your platform's network status usually sorts it.

Rockstar publishes the authoritative service status on their support site, linked above, with a dedicated Grand Theft Auto Online entry per platform. That page and @RockstarSupport on X are the official word.
