How many people play GTA Online?+
The live number is players in-game on Steam right now for Grand Theft Auto V, which includes GTA Online - Rockstar does not publish a separate Online-only count. Most concurrent GTA 5 players are in Online, so this is the closest real measurement that exists. It is PC only; consoles do not publish live player counts.
Why is this the same count as GTA 5?+
GTA Online is part of Grand Theft Auto V, not a separate app, so Steam reports one combined number for story mode and Online together. We show that real number instead of inventing an Online-only split nobody can actually measure.
What do the Twitch numbers cover?+
Twitch groups GTA 5 and GTA Online streams under one Grand Theft Auto V category, which is dominated by Online and role-play servers. Viewers, live channels and the top streamers here reflect that whole category.
How often do the numbers and charts update?+
Readings are recorded every few minutes. The live numbers refresh on their own about every 45 seconds, and the charts redraw as new readings come in. Use the 24H / 7D / 30D / ALL tabs to change the timeframe, and hover the line to read the exact count at any point.
