The Lowdown 91.1 is a soul and Motown station in GTA 5 and GTA Online hosted by the actress Pam Grier. It plays classic soul, Motown and gospel-tinged tracks rather than anything modern. It suits a slow, easy drive when you want warmth over energy. Grier built her name in 1970s action films, and her presence as host gives the station the same warm, confident tone. The music itself favors smooth vocal soul, Motown-style arrangements and gospel harmonies, aimed at players who want something soulful rather than upbeat pop or hard rock. It plays well against night driving through the older, quieter parts of the city rather than a high-speed chase. It has been part of the game's radio lineup since the original release rather than a later addition. Use it as a change of pace after a loud session on Channel X or West Coast Classics.
Tune in from any vehicle's radio or the Media Player app on your in-game phone. Hosted by Pam Grier.
Artists you will hear include The Isley Brothers, The Chi-Lites, The Spinners, Al Green.
