Franklin Clinton is a young hustler from South Los Santos trying to work his way out of gang life and repossession jobs for a car dealership. He wants more than what his neighborhood seems willing to offer him. Meeting Michael changes that trajectory, and Franklin quickly becomes his protege and eventually a full partner in the crew's heists rather than just muscle brought along for a job. He is sharp and level-headed compared to Michael and Trevor, often the one thinking clearly when the other two are not, which is part of why he ends up carrying so much of the story's weight by the end. Franklin is often the one forced into the story's hardest final choice. He is the third playable lead in GTA 5, voiced by Shawn Fonteno.
Playable protagonist; introduced in 'Franklin and Lamar' repossessing cars for Simeon.
