Lamar Davis is Franklin's loud, comedic best friend and a fellow member of the Chamberlain Gangster Families. He is constantly chasing get-rich schemes that almost never work out the way he promises they will. Despite the failed plans and the arguments they cause, Lamar's loyalty to Franklin never really wavers, and he provides a large share of the story's humor through sheer overconfidence and bad decision making. He technically owns the dog Chop, even though Chop spends most of his time with Franklin instead. Lamar's energy is a constant presence whenever he is on screen, loud in a way that balances out Franklin's more level-headed personality. He is voiced by Gerald 'Slink' Johnson, and he returns as a major figure in GTA Online, carrying the same personality into a much bigger criminal operation.
Introduced alongside Franklin in 'Franklin and Lamar'; recurs in several missions.
