Tao Cheng is the spoiled, hard-partying heir to a Chinese triad boss, sent to Los Santos to negotiate over Trevor's business interests. He treats the trip more like a vacation than a serious assignment. His arrogance and lack of experience make the negotiations worse rather than better, and his incompetence ends up escalating tensions between the crew and the wider Cheng organization instead of settling anything. Tao is used to getting his way because of who his father is, and that entitlement clashes badly with Trevor's own short temper, turning what should be a business meeting into a source of ongoing conflict. He rarely seems to grasp how much danger he is creating. Tao's storyline adds a younger, more reckless face to the Cheng family's presence in the game, contrasting with his father Wei Cheng's more calculated approach.
