Bury the Hatchet sends Michael De Santa and Trevor Philips back to North Yankton after a painful revelation about their shared past comes to light. The truth about the job they pulled together years earlier comes out at a snowy graveside, in one of the more emotional turning points between the two old partners. Gold medal asks for a finish within 11:00, headshots on 20 enemies, and accuracy of 80% or higher, the highest accuracy requirement of any mission in this stretch of the story. Taking the encounters slowly and picking targets deliberately matters more here than rushing, since one missed magazine can sink the accuracy target fast. What gets said at that graveside reframes how Michael and Trevor's whole relationship is understood from that point on.
