The Pipe Bomb is a throwable weapon in GTA 5 and GTA Online, sold at Ammu-Nation for $500. Its datamined damage is 0, since a thrown explosive does its damage through the blast rather than a bullet value, with an effective range of about 30 and a clip of 1. You prime it, throw it, and it explodes a moment later on a delay rather than on impact, which makes it useful for trapping a doorway or a vehicle before enemies arrive. The single item clip means each one is spent the moment you throw it, so you carry several at a time from your inventory rather than reload. Against groups of NPCs standing close together it does more than a single bullet ever could, and it is cheap enough to restock after every mission or shootout without denting your cash. It sits in the same throwable group as the Grenade and Sticky Bomb, but its delay before detonation separates it from the remote detonated Sticky Bomb. Keep it for ambushes rather than open firefights, since the throw arc takes a moment to master at range.
