The Humpback Whale is the largest animal in GTA 5, a Marine giant seen far out in the deep open ocean away from shore. Unlike the Orca, it is passive and gentle, a filter feeder that swims slowly rather than hunting anything. It poses no threat to the player and mostly drifts through open water, visible from a boat or while diving if you go far enough offshore. It is the one creature in the game with no peyote plant at all, so there is simply no way to become one, no matter how long you search. Its size and distance from the coast make it a rare sight rather than a common one, so spotting it takes deliberate effort out on open water. Treat an encounter as a novelty rather than a target, since there is nothing here to hunt or fight.
