The Rottweiler is a large, muscular guard-dog breed seen with pedestrians around the urban streets and yards of Los Santos. It reads as intimidating and can turn hostile if provoked, unlike most of the game's other pet dogs. It shares its model with Chop, Franklin's own dog, so the same look that makes the Rottweiler stand out on the street is also the basis for the game's most notable animal companion. Players can inhabit a random domestic dog, including this breed, through the appropriate peyote plant. Urban streets and yards in Los Santos are the best places to find one, rather than rural Blaine County. Treat it with more caution than the smaller pedestrian breeds, since it can react aggressively if pushed.
