Abigail Mathers is a woman searching for pieces of a nuclear submarine that went missing along with her husband. She sends Trevor and Michael diving across the waters around San Andreas to recover the scattered parts. Her missions unlock an underwater collectible hunt that takes you well off the usual paths, searching wrecks and open water for parts that are easy to miss without a clear idea of where to look. Abigail's grief over her husband gives the search a quieter, sadder tone than most side content in the game, even though the actual gameplay is straightforward exploration and diving. She is voiced by Beth Chamberlin. Completing her collection is one of the more overlooked side activities in GTA 5, rewarding players willing to spend time underwater instead of on the road.
