Raise Wanted Level is a Wanted Level cheat that adds one star to your current wanted level the moment you use it. It is useful when you want the police involved on purpose, for a chase, a shootout, or just to raise the stakes. This is single-player only, GTA Online will not register it. That session forfeits achievements, trophies and gold medal chances, until you reload a save that has had no cheat used. It never carries through a save. Enter it again to keep adding stars a step at a time if one extra star is not enough heat for you. It sits alongside Lower Wanted Level as the two cheats built purely around the wanted system.
On any platform, open the in-game cell phone, bring up the dial pad and call 1-999-3844-8483. On PC you can also press the tilde key and type the cheat's console name.
Xbox: press RB, RB, B, RT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT during gameplay.
PlayStation: press R1, R1, CIRCLE, R2, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT during gameplay.
Cheats work in story mode only and disable achievements and trophies for the session. Save before using one - some effects cannot be turned off without reloading.
