Varrios Los Aztecas are a Mexican-American street gang holding a smaller footprint in modern Los Santos, based around El Burro Heights and the eastern edge of the city. They read as something of a callback to the series' earlier era rather than one of the city's dominant gangs today. You mostly run into them by driving or fighting through their eastern Los Santos territory rather than through a dedicated mission chain built around them. They hold fierce hostility toward the Los Santos Vagos and Marabunta Grande, and that rivalry defines most of what they do. Their reduced presence compared to earlier games reflects how the city's gang landscape has shifted by the time of GTA 5. Expect a smaller, more localized threat than the Ballas, Vagos, or Families.
