The Third Way is the Deathwish ending, one of three possible finishes to GTA 5, played as Michael De Santa, Franklin Clinton and Trevor Philips together. Franklin refuses to betray either partner and instead turns the crew against the people who have been using them, in the ending most players treat as the canonical finish since all three protagonists survive it. Gold medal asks for a fast, clean run within 21:30, headshots on 20 enemies and accuracy of 70% or higher across the whole mission, on top of three specific kills, taking down Cheng with a Sticky Bomb, Steve Haines with a headshot and Stretch with a melee attack. Planning where those three targets will be before the shooting starts saves far more time than hunting for them mid firefight. Because this ending pulls in all three protagonists for one last combined mission, it works as the send off for the whole main story rather than just another heist.
