Medium warehouses hit a middle ground between the cheap, low capacity small warehouses and the expensive, high capacity large ones, and this is the least expensive way into that middle tier. A 42 crate sale pays out identically regardless of which medium warehouse holds the stock, so the lower purchase price directly improves the return relative to the other three mediums.
