Heavy Revolver in GTA 5

Overview

The Heavy Revolver is a handgun in GTA 5 and GTA Online, unlocked at Rank 1 and sold at Ammu-Nation for $5,900. Its datamined figures are 160 damage, a fire rate of about 33 rounds per minute, a range figure of 120 and a 6 round cylinder, well above most other handguns on damage per shot. Each hit takes a big chunk of health, so it rewards accurate aim over spraying, and the slow 33 rounds per minute fire rate means missed shots cost real time before the next one lands. Compared with the Marksman Pistol, which hits even harder but reloads even slower with a single round, the Heavy Revolver holds six shots before you need to reload, giving you room for a couple of misses. It is a strong close to medium range option for players who like a revolver's feel. It has no Mk II version of the base weapon on its own here. Being a Rank 1 unlock, it is one of the first hard hitting sidearms available to a new character, well before the Heavy Revolver Mk II becomes an option through a Weapon Workshop conversion.

Shots to kill: target health divided by damage per shot (160 damage), rounded up. Time to kill: shots minus one, times 60 divided by 33 rounds per minute - the first shot lands at time zero. Full armor is treated as one flat 200 pool. This weapon's PvP headshot modifier in the game files is 1.0, so headshots change nothing.
