You wield it two handed and swing in the same lock on style as any other melee weapon in the game. It has decent reach for a melee item, longer than a knuckle duster or bare fists, which helps you land the first hit before an NPC or player closes the distance. It does not use ammo, so the only running cost is your own timing against a locked on target. It carries no special mechanic and no Mk II version, so it is a style pick rather than a tactical one. Players who like the pool hall look tend to carry it over a bat or a crowbar for the same job.
