Fishing means casting a line with a rod and reel and waiting for a bite, popular wherever there is a coastline, a lake or a river. Leaked material lists it among the most expected hobbies for GTA 6, helped by Leonida's long coastline, mangroves and inland lakes. Grand Theft Auto itself has not included fishing before, but Rockstar built a detailed system for it in Red Dead Redemption 2, with different rods, lures and fish species. If it lands here, fishing would offer a slower, calmer break from the usual crime and jobs, and a solid reason to own a boat beyond getting from place to place. Rockstar has not confirmed fishing for GTA 6, so there is nothing official on how it works or exactly where you would do it. It remains a community favourite expectation rather than a confirmed feature.
