Hunting means tracking wild animals through their natural habitat and taking them down with a ranged weapon, a pursuit with real conservation rules and licensing behind it outside of any game. Rockstar already built a detailed hunting system for Red Dead Redemption 2, with tracking, animal behavior and different ammunition types included, and leaked material points to something similar landing in GTA 6 across Leonida's swamps, scrubland and backcountry. The wildlife system GTA 6 is expected to carry would make hunting a natural fit for that setting, but Rockstar has not confirmed the activity for this game specifically. Nothing about which animals, which weapons or which areas support hunting has been shown officially. It remains a likely, leak based expectation rather than a confirmed feature.
