The Albany Alpha is one of the returning GTA 5 sports cars on the Grand Theft Auto VI roster, a two-door coupe from Rockstar's long-standing Cadillac stand-in brand. Its shape nods to two real Cadillacs from different eras, the wild Sixteen concept car and the later, road-going ATS. Cadillac built the Sixteen in 2003 as a one-off show car, a long low coupe wrapped around a huge V16 engine and never sold to the public. The ATS came over a decade after, a compact rear-wheel-drive sedan and coupe GM built to take on the BMW 3 Series. Mixing a concept car's swagger with a production sport coupe's stance is a favorite trick for Rockstar's fictional marques, and it fits the Alpha well. Word of its return reached players through gameplay clips that leaked online in September 2022, long before Rockstar said anything about it directly. None of that leak covered price, performance or handling, and Rockstar has still not confirmed how the Alpha will be sold or unlocked in Leonida. The two-seat, rear-wheel-drive layout and six-speed gearbox on record come from the current game files for the existing version, not from anything shown for GTA 6.
