Maibatsu's Penumbra is a compact sports coupe modeled mainly on the Mitsubishi Eclipse with a hint of Audi TT styling worked into its shape, and it returns in GTA 6's second trailer after debuting in GTA V. The real Eclipse was a Japanese sport compact popular through the 1990s and 2000s for being an affordable, easy way into a sporty-looking coupe rather than a serious performance machine. Datamined files list a 1,400 kg body, rear-wheel drive and five gears. In GTA V the Penumbra never escaped mid-pack status among sports coupes and later picked up a front-wheel-drive variant, a history that says more about the series than about GTA 6. None of that tells anyone its GTA 6 price or how it handles, since Rockstar has not said.
