Overview

The Rhino is the series' main battle tank, made by Hauners and modeled on the American M1 Abrams and the German Leopard 2. Both real tanks are heavily armored, turbine or diesel powered, and built around a large main gun. The real Abrams entered US Army service in 1980 and is still the army's main battle tank.

The Rhino has been in nearly every main game since GTA III, usually as the army's answer to a maximum wanted level or as a hard-won prize. For GTA 6 it has only appeared in the gameplay that leaked in August 2026, so Rockstar has not confirmed it. Its role in a more grounded GTA is an open question.

How players might encounter it, or get one, is unknown.

Performance specs land at release. Everything confirmed so far is in the key facts. The bars stay hollow until we have tested numbers, the same way a hollow wanted star means the police know something happened but not what.
