The Cat is Felis catus, the common house cat found in cities everywhere people live. It turns up as both a kept pet and a stray, moving between apartment blocks, back alleys and anywhere else it can find food or shelter. Cats are independent hunters even when well fed at home, and they tend to be most active around dawn and dusk rather than through the middle of the day. Leonida's neighborhoods should have both strays and pets wandering through them, the same background presence cats provide in any real city. This one shows up clearly in the official GTA 6 trailers. How a cat responds to a player nearby, if at all, has not been revealed.
