The Corn Snake is Pantherophis guttatus, a harmless constrictor native to the southeastern United States and one of the most common snakes in the region. Its orange and red blotched pattern is bright enough to make it easy to identify at a glance. It hunts rodents through grassland, farmland edges and old fields, and it poses no danger to people despite the warning colors, which is part of why it is so popular in the pet trade. Open country around Leonida, away from the coast and the city, is the obvious habitat for a snake built around field mice and farm edges. It appears in GTA 6 trailer footage, so its place in the game is confirmed. Whether it can be picked up, avoided or simply spotted in the grass has not been shown.
