The Doberman is Canis lupus familiaris, a sleek German breed developed in the 1890s by a tax collector who wanted a dog for personal protection on his rounds. That original purpose still shows in its alert, muscular build today. Dobermans remain a common choice for guard and police work because of their loyalty and sharp reflexes, and they read as serious animals even to people who know nothing about the breed. Leonida's guarded homes and private lots fit a dog like this well, the kind of animal a person would notice before noticing anything else. It has turned up in GTA 6's trailers, confirmed across both released so far. How one would react to a player on the wrong property has not been shown by Rockstar.
