The Eastern Gray Squirrel is Sciurus carolinensis, a common tree squirrel found across parks, yards and woodlands throughout the eastern United States. It is active during the day and covers ground quickly, using its bushy tail for balance as much as for signaling. These squirrels scatter-hoard nuts and acorns across their territory, burying far more than they ever dig back up, which quietly helps new trees grow each year. Leonida's parks and tree-lined streets are exactly the kind of setting where this animal would be constantly busy, digging and burying within sight of anyone passing by. This squirrel turns up in the official GTA 6 trailers, confirming it made the game. Whether a player can interact with one beyond simply seeing it has not been shown by Rockstar.
