The Rottweiler is Canis lupus familiaris, a muscular German working breed originally used to drive cattle and now kept mostly as a guard dog and companion. Its steady, confident temperament is exactly why it is trusted with protecting property. Rottweilers are common around guarded homes, yards and businesses in real life, a serious-looking dog most people would notice before they noticed anything else on the property. That same role fits Leonida's gated houses and private lots well, an animal that signals a place is being watched even from the street outside. Rockstar has shown it in GTA 6 footage across both trailers so far. How a Rottweiler behaves toward a player, whether as a threat or simply background detail, has not been shown by Rockstar.
