Wild Boar refers to Sus scrofa, the tough feral pig found across much of the southeastern United States. It has coarse bristly hair, sharp tusks, and a habit of rooting through soil with its snout, which tears up farmland and forest floor alike. Boar populations are largely invasive in Florida, descended from pigs brought over centuries ago, and they do real ecological damage wherever they settle. They are omnivorous, mostly active at night or twilight, and can turn aggressive if cornered rather than given room to retreat. Leonida's backcountry and farmland give this animal an obvious place to roam beyond the coast and the city. Official trailer footage confirms it is in the game. Rockstar has not shown how a boar reacts if a player gets close, so treat any idea of it charging or fleeing as guesswork rather than fact.
