American Dream is a GTA Online achievement for owning an Apartment, a Garage, and an Insured Vehicle at the same time. It unlocks for 52.7% of Steam players, common, since these three purchases are among the first meaningful investments most players make. Each piece is a fairly early goal in GTA Online on its own: an Apartment to serve as a base for heists and storage, a Garage for keeping vehicles safe, and a single Insured Vehicle so a car survives being destroyed. Together they represent the basic property foundation the mode expects most players to build toward early on. Players who spend their first sessions purely on missions without buying any property will delay this one, but it comes naturally to anyone settling into the mode's usual progression.
