Overview

Mastermind is a GTA Online achievement for earning 25 platinum medals across Heist Setups and Finales, separate from the harder Criminal Mastermind Challenges tied to Masterminds. It unlocks for 9.2% of Steam players, rare rather than ultra rare, since platinum is a high bar but not an all or nothing team requirement. Platinum medals on classic Heist missions ask for a mix of speed, accuracy, and clean execution on each individual job, and the count builds across every heist crew you run, not just one. Twenty five platinum runs takes real repetition, since setups and finales each carry their own separate medal target that has to be hit on that specific attempt. Running heists with a consistent, practiced crew speeds this up considerably, since a team that already knows a job's fastest route clears the platinum bar far more often than a group figuring it out live.
