Yuanbao are a seasonal collectible in GTA Online, gold ingot shaped charms tied to the Lunar New Year event, with 36 known locations spread across Los Santos and Blaine County pulled from the game files. They only appear on the map while that event is running. Outside the Lunar New Year window, these locations sit empty, so the count and the exact spots come from the game's own data rather than from anything visible year round. When the event is live, each yuanbao sits out in the open much like other seasonal pickups, waiting to be driven past or walked up to. Since the set is only live for a limited window each year, it rewards players who plan ahead rather than those who try to finish it on the last day. There is no cash prize attached, so the appeal is mostly about finishing a set that most of the year you cannot even attempt.
