The Professional Thieves are the network of career criminals who carry out GTA 5's major heists, coordinated by fixer Lester Crest rather than tied to one neighborhood or turf. Michael, Trevor, and Franklin operate as the core crew inside that network. You meet them by playing through the story's heist missions, where Lester brings in specialists such as gunmen, drivers, and hackers depending on the approach chosen for each score. Rather than a rival gang, they function as the player's own working crew for the biggest jobs in the game. Their story role is central rather than antagonistic, since this is effectively the group the player leads. Expect planning, setup missions, and payoffs built around each heist rather than street-level turf conflict.
Assembled by hiring crew members before each heist; embodied by the three protagonists.
