Casing the Jewel Store has Michael De Santa scope out the Vangelico jewelry store with Lester, photographing its security features to plan the game's first proper heist. The mission introduces the heist planning board and crew selection system, letting you choose between a stealthy Smart approach or a guns blazing Loud one. Gold medal asks for a finish within 08:00 and capturing all 3 security features in a single photograph rather than three separate ones. Lining up the camera from a spot where all three features sit close together is the only reliable way to get them in one shot. This reconnaissance run is what sets up The Jewel Store Job that follows right after it.
Given by Lester after Michael reconnects with him.
