Hammer

Overview

The Hammer is a melee weapon in GTA 5 and GTA Online, sold at Ammu-Nation for $500. It carries 0 base damage in the data like every melee weapon, since melee combat plays out through attack animations rather than a bullet value, and it has no fire rate, range or clip figures. It is one of the cheapest melee weapons at Ammu-Nation, an easy pickup for a new character who wants something with more presence than bare fists. It swings with the same lock on controls as every other melee item, and NPCs typically go down after a short string of hits regardless of the tool in your hand. It needs no ammo, so the low purchase price is the entire cost of owning it. There is no Mk II version. Among the melee weapons sold at Ammu-Nation, its low price makes it one of the easiest to add to a loadout early on.
