Overview

The Hunting Knife is a fixed-blade knife of the kind hunters carry for field dressing game. With no folding joint, the blade is sturdier than a pocket knife and stands up to hard use outdoors. Red Dead Redemption 2 made one a constant companion for Arthur Morgan, used for skinning animals as much as for fighting.

In GTA 6 it has only turned up in the gameplay that leaked in August 2026. Rockstar has not shown it in a trailer or screenshot, so it stays unconfirmed for now. A blade like this would suit Leonida's back country, where hunting is expected to be one of the pastimes and Rockstar has promised more than 170 animal species.

Its damage, how it differs from the standard knife, and any use beyond melee are all unknown until the game is out.
