Heron - GTA 6

Overview

Heron covers the wading birds of family Ardeidae rather than one single species, all built around long legs, a long neck and a spear-like bill. They hunt by standing almost perfectly still until a fish or frog comes within striking range. The great blue heron is the most familiar of the group in the real southeast, but the family includes many similar waders across Florida's wetlands and canals. Leonida's wetland edges and canal banks are the obvious place for a bird that needs shallow, calm water and patience above all else. Herons appear in GTA 6 trailer footage, so the family's place in the game is confirmed. How individual birds react to a player walking past has not been shown.
