The White Pelican is Pelecanus erythrorhynchos, the American white pelican, a bird larger than its familiar brown relative and built around a long orange-yellow bill and throat pouch. Rather than diving, it feeds by dipping that bill while swimming, often working with other pelicans to herd fish into the shallows. In the real world these birds winter along Florida's coast after breeding much further north and inland, so they gather in numbers on lagoons and estuaries during the cooler months. That seasonal, coastal habit lines up with Leonida's own lagoons and inlets, the kind of calm water this species prefers over open surf. It appears in GTA 6 trailer footage, confirming its place in the game. Nothing about its behavior around the player, or whether it can be interacted with at all, has been shown.
