Invincibility is a Player cheat that grants temporary god mode, so nothing can kill your character while it is active. It is useful for surviving a firefight you would otherwise lose, or for causing chaos without worrying about dying. This is confined to Story Mode, GTA Online locks it out. You lose that session's achievements and trophies, and gold medals stay locked until you load an unmodified save. The effect does not survive a save or reload. The effect lasts about five minutes, and once it wears off you need to enter the code again to keep it going. Because it only runs for a few minutes at a time, it works best saved for one specific fight or stunt rather than left ticking down in the background.
On any platform, open the in-game cell phone, bring up the dial pad and call 1-999-724-654-5537. On PC you can also press the tilde key and type the cheat's console name.
Xbox: press RIGHT, A, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, RB, RIGHT, LEFT, A, Y during gameplay.
PlayStation: press RIGHT, X, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, R1, RIGHT, LEFT, X, TRIANGLE during gameplay.
Cheats work in story mode only and disable achievements and trophies for the session. Save before using one - some effects cannot be turned off without reloading.
