Recharge Ability is a Player cheat that instantly refills your character's special ability meter. It means whichever special ability your current character has, Michael's focus, Franklin's driving control or Trevor's rage, is ready to use again right away. This is strictly a Story Mode cheat, just like the rest of them, GTA Online will not run it. That session is locked out of achievements and trophies, and gold medals stay out of reach until you load a save that has no cheat on it. It never persists through a save. It only tops the meter back up, it does not change how fast the meter refills on its own afterward. It is most useful right before a tough fight or a mission where you know you will lean on that special ability more than once.
On any platform, open the in-game cell phone, bring up the dial pad and call 1-999-769-3787. On PC you can also press the tilde key and type the cheat's console name.
Xbox: press A, A, X, RB, LB, A, RIGHT, LEFT, A during gameplay.
PlayStation: press X, X, SQUARE, R1, L1, X, RIGHT, LEFT, X during gameplay.
Cheats work in story mode only and disable achievements and trophies for the session. Save before using one - some effects cannot be turned off without reloading.
