Compact Rifle in GTA 5

Overview

The Compact Rifle is an assault rifle in GTA 5 and GTA Online, sold at Ammu-Nation for $14,650. Its datamined figures are 34 damage, a fire rate of about 380 rounds per minute, a range figure of 120 and a 30 round magazine, matching the Heavy Rifle on both damage and fire rate. It is a mid tier rifle, hitting harder than the base Assault Rifle but short of the Special Carbine or Battle Rifle on damage. The 380 rounds per minute fire rate is on the slower side for the class, which keeps it controllable on full auto and accurate at range without much recoil to fight. Its compact size and smaller in-game profile make it a common pick for missions where a rifle needs to feel less bulky than a full sized carbine. There is no Mk II version of the Compact Rifle. It works well as a budget alternative to the pricier Heavy Rifle, since the two share the same numbers on paper.

Shots to kill: target health divided by damage per shot (34 damage), rounded up. Time to kill: shots minus one, times 60 divided by 380 rounds per minute - the first shot lands at time zero. Full armor is treated as one flat 200 pool. Figures are point blank, before damage dropoff.
Bars scale each stat against the highest value among this game's weapons. Spread is tighter when lower. Numbers carry their source and game version. Hover or tap a date for details.
