The Tactical SMG is a submachine gun in GTA 5 and GTA Online, added with the San Andreas Mercenaries update. It carries a community-reported price of $325,000. Datamined figures are 25 damage, a fire rate of about 522 rounds per minute, a range figure of 120 and a 33 round magazine, the largest in the submachine gun class. On paper it is a straight upgrade on the standard SMG: the same damage figure as the SMG Mk II, a slightly faster rate of fire and a bigger magazine. The Combat PDW still hits harder per shot and the Mini SMG fires faster, but neither balances the three qualities as well. It is comfortable at close and medium range, controllable on full auto, and it works from a vehicle window in drive-bys like the other submachine guns. The price is high for what is, in the end, a submachine gun, so it is a luxury choice rather than a necessary one. Players who already own an SMG Mk II loaded with special ammo will find little reason to switch.
Buy it from any Ammu-Nation for $325,000.
