Together the pair are described as running a drug manufacturing operation somewhere in Leonida. That detail places him on the criminal side of Leonida rather than tied to a legitimate business like some of the other named figures in the cast. The connection to Raymond suggests the two work as partners in that operation, though how large it is or where exactly it operates has not been detailed. Rockstar has not said whether Ernesto crosses paths with Jason or Lucia, or what part the drug operation plays in the wider story once the game is out. His full role in Leonida's underworld remains unclear.
