Knife flights are a set of 15 tight gaps between buildings in Story Mode, each one flown through with a plane rolled onto its side like a knife cutting through the space. Most of them thread the towers of downtown Los Santos. Completing every knife flight alongside every Under the Bridge challenge unlocks the Close Shave reward. Because you have to roll the plane onto its side to fit through many of the gaps, this set demands real flying skill rather than just knowing where to go, and a crash usually means circling back around for another attempt. Threading the towers of downtown Los Santos at speed while rolled sideways is as much about nerve as precision. Since the Close Shave reward only unlocks once both this set and the Under the Bridge challenges are finished, most players treat the two as one combined project rather than separate hunts.
Roll a plane past 70 degrees and hold the knife-edge as you pass through the gap. Stunt planes hold the sideways line far better than jets.
All 15 knife flights plus all 50 bridges earn the Close Shave achievement.
