Leonard County Sheriff is a department name that surfaced through official GTA 6 trailer and screenshot material, the kind of detail usually caught on a patrol car door or a uniform patch. It follows Florida's county sheriff naming pattern and points to a sheriff's office serving a Leonida county called Leonard. An elected sheriff running county-wide patrol and the county jail is the standard setup across most of Florida, and it is the same structure Leonida clearly leans on for its own counties. Unlike Ambrosia, which Rockstar has named directly as part of Leonida's setting, Leonard County is known only through this department's name, so its size, location and character within the state are not established anywhere else. There are also two versions of this name in circulation, this shorter one and the fuller Leonard County Sheriff's Office. Whether that is one department shown two ways or a genuine difference between them is unconfirmed, along with how the office behaves in play and what part it takes in any wanted response.
