Leonard County Sheriff's Office is the fuller version of a name that also appears in the shorter form Leonard County Sheriff across official GTA 6 material. Both point to the same real-world idea, an elected sheriff running county-wide policing for a Leonida county called Leonard. Full titles like this are how most Florida sheriff's offices actually refer to themselves on paperwork and vehicles, even when a shorter version gets used elsewhere on the same vehicle or in casual signage. Seeing both forms in Leonida's official material does not necessarily mean two different departments exist, since real agencies mix formal and shortened versions of their own name all the time. Rockstar has not confirmed either way whether Leonard County has one department or two, and nothing about how this office behaves in play, its role in a wanted response, or the county's borders has been shown.
