Overview

Vice-Dale Police Department is the county-level force confirmed through official GTA 6 trailers and screenshots, covering Vice-Dale County, the county that the Bayside Safehouse listing confirms actually contains Vice City. Its name pairs Vice City with Dale much the way Miami pairs with Dade in the real county next to it.

Miami-Dade County has long run its county-wide law enforcement as a police department rather than leaning on the county sheriff model most other Florida counties use, covering unincorporated areas and contracting with some smaller cities inside it, alongside separate forces like Miami's own. A department named Vice-Dale, rather than a Vice-Dale Sheriff, suggests Leonida borrows that same distinctive structure rather than the sheriff model used elsewhere on this list.

How Vice-Dale Police Department and the city departments inside its borders actually split duties in GTA 6, and what role any of them plays in a wanted response, has not been shown. The comparison to Miami-Dade is a reasonable read of the name, not a confirmed fact about the game.
