Leonida Protection of Animals and Controlled Hunting, shortened to POACH, is a wildlife enforcement agency identified from official GTA 6 trailer and screenshot material. The name and its focus on hunting point squarely at Florida's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, the real agency that polices hunting, fishing and wildlife across the state. That real commission employs sworn officers who patrol rural land and waterways, checking hunting and fishing activity and stepping in on wildlife crimes well away from any city street. Leonida's confirmed geography includes the Grassrivers, a wetland stretch that fits exactly the kind of ground this sort of agency would cover, alongside the rural hunting country implied by POACH's own name. Rockstar has not confirmed that POACH actually patrols the Grassrivers specifically, only that the agency exists somewhere in Leonida. How it behaves in play, what role it takes around a wanted response, and how it differs from the police and sheriff departments on this list all remain unconfirmed.
