Vice City Police Department is the city force confirmed through official GTA 6 trailers and screenshots, its name and badge turning up on patrol cars and uniforms. It is the municipal department for Vice City itself, the real-world equivalent of a city keeping its own police separate from the wider county around it. Miami runs its own police department distinct from the county force that covers the wider Miami-Dade area, and Vice City appears to follow that same split. That would put day-to-day policing inside the city in the hands of this department, with a separate county-level force, Vice-Dale Police Department, handling the ground around it. How that division actually plays out once GTA 6 is in your hands, including any role either department takes in a wanted response, has not been detailed. Rockstar has confirmed the name and the setting but nothing yet about how it behaves in the game.
