Capri is a confirmed Mariana County location, and its real-world match is Sebring, an inland central Florida city better known for racing than for any coastline, an odd fit for a county otherwise built around an island chain. Sebring is famous for its International Raceway, built on a former World War Two airfield, which has hosted a twelve-hour endurance race every March since 1950, one of the oldest sports car races in the country and a fixture on the modern IMSA calendar. The city itself sits well away from open water, another case of Leonida borrowing a real Florida place without matching its geography, since Mariana County otherwise leans on the coastal Florida Keys for its identity. Whether that racing pedigree carries into the game in any form has not been confirmed. The name Capri, borrowed from the glamorous Italian island, sits oddly next to a landlocked racing town as its real basis.
